Poses, like seated forward bends, seated cat-cow, or gentle side stretches stretch the body, improve posture, and enhance flexibility—all without needing to get up and down from the floor. 

This style of yoga is perfect for seniors with limited mobility, arthritis, or other conditions that make traditional yoga mats difficult to use. 

Wall Yoga 

Wall yoga uses the stability of a wall to provide balance and support during poses. Imagine pressing both hands into a wall as you stretch into downward dog or sliding your back down into a wall-supported squat. 

This form of yoga helps with alignment, balance, and building strength while offering support for anyone who might feel unsteady. 

Both these options create safer environments for seniors to enjoy their practice and explore yoga at their own pace.
